Plan Your Visit in Advance
One of the most iconic landmarks in the world, the Eiffel Tower attracts millions of visitors each year.
As a couple, planning your visit in advance is crucial to avoid long lines and crowded experiences.
If you simply show up to the tower, you’ll have to put up with a huge waiting line. There’s never a low season when it comes to the most important Paris landmarks.
Start by purchasing skip-the-line tickets online to save time and hassle or check out Eiffel Tower’s official website to see the type of tickets and to buy yours.
There are two types of Eiffel Tower visiting tours: summit and second floor.
Each of them comes in a wide array of ticket types: via lift or via stairs, with or without a glass of champagne, with or without a brunch at Madame Brasserie, guided or not guided.
Tickets with Madame Brasserie brunch and the ones with guided tour in English are the first to become sold out. You need to keep tabs on the website and grab them as soon as your desired date becomes available.
The brunch is available on Sunday without booking, but it is subject to availability. I wouldn’t rely on that.
Enjoy a Breathtaking View from the Top
No visit to the Eiffel Tower is complete without ascending to the top for a panoramic view of Paris.
The summit offers stunning 360-degree vistas, making it the perfect spot for a romantic moment.
Time your ascent for sunset or nighttime to witness the city’s twinkling lights and the tower’s hourly light show.
Tickets to the summit are more expensive than the ones to the second floor. However, the price gap isn’t that huge. Since you may not have a second chance to enjoy this experience, you’d better go for the summit and enjoy a gorgeous panorama of Paris.
The top of the tower is always windy; keep this in mind when you dress for this visit.
Insider Tip: Book a Table at Le Jules Verne
For an unforgettable dining experience, book a table at Le Jules Verne, the Eiffel Tower’s acclaimed restaurant located on the second floor.
Savor Michelin-starred French cuisine while taking in breathtaking views of the city skyline.
Online booking is open up to 90 days in advance. Available time slots get booked very fast, so you need to be really fortunate to grab a booking.
Explore the Nearby Attractions
The Eiffel Tower is situated in the heart of Paris, surrounded by numerous romantic attractions perfect for couples.
Stroll hand-in-hand through the lush Champ de Mars gardens or take a leisurely cruise along the Seine River.

Plan a Romantic Picnic
For a truly memorable experience, pack a picnic basket with French delicacies and wine, and enjoy a romantic al fresco meal while admiring the Eiffel Tower’s iconic silhouette.
The nearby Champ de Mars gardens offer a beautiful setting, or you can opt for one of the many picnic areas along the Seine River.
That’s one of our preferred activities in Paris and one of out most romantic memories together we cherish to this day.
